New Project on "Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Institute Project: Certificate Training cum Mentored Practicum Augmented by an e-Learning Knowledge Hub"

Prof. Steven Ngai, Prof. Joyce Ma and Prof. Jacky Cheung from CityU (PIs) and Prof. Mooly Wong, Prof. Kim Minseop, Prof. Cheng Qijin, Prof. Grace Leung, Prof. Phyllis Wong, Dr. Joanne Leung and Dr. Johnson Cheung (Co-Is) have received a grant of HK$13,320,000 from the Trustees of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to conduct a project titled “Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Institute Project: Certificate Training cum Mentored Practicum Augmented by an e-Learning Knowledge Hub”.

The goals of the project are fourfold: (i) to enrich the MEL framework and adapt it to local context; (ii) to promote the application of this framework among NGOs; (iii) to enhance the capacity and sustainability of NGOs with the framework; and (iv) to cultivate a MEL culture and mindset among local NGOs. With keen concerns for social needs and polished skills on MEL, the Institute will become a leading engine for promoting the social impacts of NGO services/ projects locally and regionally.
