The mission of the programme is to improve the lives of disadvantaged people through the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices (EBP). To that end, the Research Programme is committed to 1) generating new knowledge about the causes and consequences of social problem in local and international contexts, 2) evaluating social programs through the lens of evidence-based practice, 3) developing evidence-based policies and practices to inform decision of practitioner and policy-makers, and 4) translating research evidence into action.
We will promote collaborative partnerships between social service agencies and academics to develop and implement effective and efficient policies and practices. In collaboration with local and international experts, we also bring together interdisciplinary teams with in-depth expertise in evidence-based program evaluations.
