Research Centres

Our Department has established the Social Welfare Practice Research Centre in 2000, the overall goal of the Centre is to promote practice-based research and the development of social work knowledge from a Chinese perspective. The Centre pursues its goal through the conducting of intervention research and empirical research into Chinese social welfare, and by forging university-agency partnerships to advance practice knowledge, technology, and data-based practice. The Centre disseminates its research findings through publications, training, and other forms of activities that are deemed appropriate. Currently, several active research programs are being carried out at the Centre.
