曾陳桂梅女士獎、助學金
The Department is very happy to announce that our distinguished alumnus Mrs. Carol Tsang had donated a total of HK$20,000 to set up two scholarships of HK$5000 each and two bursaries of HK$5000 each in 2011.
To be eligible for the scholarships, the students must: (a) be full-time undergraduate students majoring in Social Work and; (b) have outstanding academic achievements at entrance if they are Year I students; or have attained a Year GPA of 3.0 or above in the previous academic year if they are Year 2 or above students.
To be eligible for the bursaries, the students must: (a) be full-time undergraduate students majoring in Social Work, and (b) have demonstrable financial need.
Our department will make the nomination of the two suitable candidates for the scholarships whereas the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid will recommend two suitable candidates for the bursaries among the applications received under the University Bursaries and Loans Scheme.
Those students who are in need of bursaries please apply for it directly through Admissions and Financial Aid Office. For our colleagues who have come across our students in need of financial assistance, please advise him or her to apply for the bursaries.
