Guidelines for Submissions
- Authors should indicate one of the following themes that best describes the content of their submission. Suggested sub-themes are outlined but not exclusive. Abstract template

- The abstracts should contain the following:
- Abstract title (less than 25 words)
- Authors’ name and affiliations
- Abstract body
- There should be no tables, diagrams or pictures in the abstracts
- Authors must submit their abstracts online through the conference website.
- Authors can submit at most two abstracts as first author.
- Presenting authors must be registered participants
- Abstracts can be submitted and presented in clear English, Chinese or Cantonese and with a quality of language suitable for publication.
- There are two types of presentations:
- Free-paper Oral Presentation: (12mins + 3mins Q&A section)
- Workshop: (60mins)
Selection for Abstracts
- Reviewers, as recommended by the members of the scientific committee, will review the submitted abstracts.
- Two reviewers will review an abstract.
- The scientific committee will have the final authority over the acceptance of the submitted abstract, its type of Presentation, as well as the theme.
- Selection Criteria
Relevance to social work or social work education 30% Relevance to the theme of change and innovation 30% Rigor in research design and content 30% Clarity of presentation 10% Total 100%
Instruction for Oral Presentations
- Each presentation is limited to 12 minutes with a follow up question and answer time for 3 minutes.
- The presentation can be in English, Chinese or Cantonese.
- If authors wish to use powerpoint (ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx) for the presentation, all files should be submitted through the Conference website by 30 May 2020. File submission by e-mail will not be accepted. Please use the abstract reference number as the file name. The reference number will be assigned when the submission of abstract is accepted. The size of the file should be within 5MB
- The authors are required to warrant that the material used in the presentation is original and does not violate any copyrights. Unless request otherwise, Conference Secretariat assume their agreement for the Conference Secretariat to use the abstract for publications relevant to the conference.
Instruction for workshop
- Each workshop will have 90 minutes.
- The presentation is preferably in English, Chinese or Cantonese. Please indicate if another language is preferred to be used.
- There will be computer, projector and audio facilities in the room. The conference organizers will not provide other materials support for the workshop. Workshop coordinators are expected to prepare the materials on his/her own.
- Workshop coordinators should advise about the quota of the workshop and setting requirement of the venue.
- If presenters wish to use powerpoint (ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx) for the workshop, all files should be submitted through the Conference website by 30 May 2020.
