Prof. Cheng Qijin (PI) and Ms. Agnes Lam (Co-I, School of Journalism and Communication) have received a grant of HK$398,339 from CUHK Knowledge Transfer Project Fund (KPF) 2021/22 to conduct a project on “Improving Use of Online Resources and Enhancing Mental Health for Migrant Domestic Workers in Hong Kong” from April 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023.

The project will engage Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) peer leaders to co-create a mobile friendly website that can serve as a consolidated resource bank to direct MDWs to relevant online resources. In addition, the project will organize a series of training for MDWs peer leaders to equip them with essential knowledge and skills related to mental health and digital literacy. It is hoped that the trained peer leaders will be able to use the proposed website to facilitate their peer-support efforts, continuously navigate online resources to enrich the website and become content managers of the website in the long run.

Congratulations to Qijin and Agnes!
