Based on data from Scopus, the “science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”, compiled by a research team led by Prof. John Ioannidis at Stanford University, identifies the world’s leading researchers based on the top 100,000 scientists or a percentile rank of 2% or above in 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification.
