We are pleased to announce that Prof. Chan Chun-ho, Randolph, Prof. Dexia Kong, and Prof. Peng Manman, Mandy, as Principal Investigators, have successfully secured the General Research Fund 2026/27 from the Research Grants Council.
Prof. Chan’s project examines recovery from and in sexual orientation and gender identity and expression change efforts (SOGIECE), with a focus on survivors’ meaning-making, posttraumatic growth, and healing journeys. Prof. Kong’s project investigates appraisal congruence in dementia care dyads, examining how persons with dementia and their family care partners perceive symptom severity and care preferences, and how such congruence relates to dyadic well-being. Prof. Peng’s project explores ways to improve the quality of informal care for persons with schizophrenia through a multicomponent dyadic intervention, with the aim of enhancing care quality and supporting the well-being of both persons with schizophrenia and their caregivers.
