The online symposium on ‘Strengthening Career and Life Development (CLD) among Non-engaged Youth (NEY): Co-creating a Youth-enabling Environment’ was successfully held on 8 – 9 July 2022 via Zoom with over 530 participants from different parts of the world attended, including Australia, Canada, France, Hong Kong, mainland China, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
During this two-day symposium, our Department was honored to have Mr. Leong CHEUNG, Executive Director, Charities and Community, The Hong Kong Jockey Club to officiate the Symposium. Three keynote speakers, Mr. Ryan GIBSON, National System Leader for Careers, Academies Enterprise Trust, Dr. Anthony MANN, Senior Policy Analyst (Education and Skills), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and Prof. Shelley Hsiu-Lan TIEN, Professor, Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, National Taiwan Normal University as well as 12 plenary session and 7 parallel workshop speakers comprising the academia, business sector, school sector, non-governmental organizations, a parent representative, and youth representatives gave us insightful presentations on their practice wisdom and experience in supporting non-engaged youth in their holistic career and life development.
