Application Period

The Programme starts to accept application for 2025-26 in early September 2024.

  • Application for PhD Stream through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS)
    • Online Application Deadline:
      • Initial application to RGC: By 12 noon, 1 December 2024 (Hong Kong time)
      • Full application to CUHK: by 11:59pm, 1 December 2024 (Hong Kong time)
  • Application for MPhil/ PhD Stream with the University Directly (i.e. non-HKPFS Application)
    • Main Round Application Deadline: 1 December 2024
    • Clearing Round Application Deadline: 31 March 2025

 

Important Notes

Due to keen competition, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their applications and all application documents on or before 1 December 2024. Interviews for both HKPFS and non-HKPFS applicants will be conducted starting from early December 2024. Applications received from 2 December 2024 to 31 March 2025 will be considered only if places are still available.
