The course focuses on the application of narrative practice in working with families. With a critique that family had once been lost in narrative practice, the course will feature the philosophy and guiding principles of narrative practice, key narrative ideas and practices with an emphasis on the application of them in working with families. The dialogue of a narrative worldview with the systemic perspective, which is the foundation of family therapy, will be thoroughly examined. The integration of a systemic perspective in narrative practice will be demonstrated.
