This course is crafted to equip students with an advanced understanding of social service management in terms of service planning, programme development and evaluation. It first prepares the students to analyse and reflect on the nature and characteristics of social service followed by grounding in social service value frameworks to address the purposes and functions of social service management. Further, it furnishes the students with essential theoretical knowledge and practice approaches for enhancing their capacity in social service management, including service and programme planning, resources management, quality management, programme monitoring and evaluation, as well as accountability.
