Our Department is honoured to have invited Professor Jarosław Przeperski, Assistant Professor and Director of the Centre for Family Research from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland, to visit us from 13 to 26 September 2024.
During Professor Przeperski’s visit, he actively engaged with our faculty members to explore possible research collaborations. He also conducted a research seminar on “History and current state of social work in Poland,” where he gave an overview of the current system of social welfare and an outline of the array of professionals with the system, including social workers. He also discussed the impact and challenges to social work education in Poland.
