The Conference on "Comparative Research on Social Welfare Policies in Chinese Societies" was held on December 10-11, 2011 at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Department of Social Work and Chung Chi College, CUHK, sponsored by Madam Tan Jen Chiu Fund and the Faculty of Social Science, CUHK. There were over 100 participants in the Conference. A total of 31 presentations were made, with speakers including renowned scholars coming from Hong Kong, United States, Mainland China, Macau and Taiwan.
